Mastering the Rhythm of Middle Management
Assisting middle managers in developing performance environments that forge winners at all levels.
We care deeply about people feeling good about what they do. This in turn, creates gratification and fulfilment in the workplace, with people committed to being at their best and focused on achieving desired outcomes.
As a middle manager, one of the most significant parts of your role is to create and maintain an environment that supports this.
This, together with your ability to:
1. Implement effectively,
2. Realise potential, and
3. Look to the future,
will support you in shifting from a position of doing to leading, creating winning experiences for all.
Low levels of responsibility and accountability which inevitably results in a dictatorship style of leadership, will be replaced with high levels, resulting in a stewardship style, supporting you in leading your team in the desired direction.
Designed to be completed over a period of six (6) months with the option of adding a group virtual introductory session and module-based accountability sessions, this program consists of six (6) modules, detailed below.
Our next public program commences on Monday 2 October 2023. Register your interest now to take your leadership capabilities to the next level.
We were engaged by a newly appointed CEO to build and develop the middle management cohort of a clinical care company that had experienced significant growth. This growth resulted in the expansion of their middle management team, with a number of internal members promoted with limited leadership experience. Despite this, they were entrusted with driving performance in a dynamic and rapidly growing market.
An assessment of the existing culture revealed middle managers found it challenging to build resilience and create an emotionally safe environment for their teams, with many still under significant pressure to perform.
Middle managers were struggling with their leadership responsibilities, often falling back into doership.
Middle managers were not working in alignment with the performance goals of their teams or the organisation as a whole, with many unsure of their responsibilities in the achievement of outcomes.
With the support of the CEO, we worked with the middle management team to embed solid leadership principles, improve their leadership capabilities and drive a collaborative approach to working with others across silos, aligned to the performance goals of the business.
Middle managers are now capable of creating experiences for their team/s to be at their best.
Middle managers now understand who relies on who for what and why, which leads to the achievement of outcomes.
Middle managers are aligned in their quest to drive performance, under tension, across their teams.
